An interview with Nick Ede
Nick Ede is a highly-regarded, multi award- winning media and communications consultant. From his headquarters in London, he represents some of the world’s best known brands.
Ede was raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, and studied Fine Art at Glasgow School of Art and English and Drama at Leeds University. For over eight years, he worked on developing marketing strategies for brands including, Apollo Leisure, American Express, The Telegraph Newspaper and set up the entertainment department for lastminute.com. As his career in communications developed, Nick set up EdenCancan and fast became the ‘go to’ guy for brands and is a popular TV commentator on fashion, lifestyle and brand topics.
In 2013 was asked by actress and activist Eva Longoria to be the Global Communications Director for the Global Gift Gala – which hosts benefits in Paris, Cannes, Marbella, Dubai, LA and New York.
Nick recently founded EastofEden the charity campaigns agency which looks after specific projects for clients including The Diana Awards, Rwanga Foundation, Pink Ribbon Foundation, WE Day, BBC Children In Need and mothers2mothers. He also set up the charity initiative Style For Stroke which has become one of the UK’s most recognised initiatives.
Nick has been awarded with the Scottish Communicator of the year award and won the highly coveted London Lifestyle Award for Personality of the Year in 2013 for his charity work and recently was honoured by Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria at the Global Gift Gala in London for his services to philanthropy. In September 2015 Nick was awarded the Scottish Fashion Award Fashion Philanthropist Award.
