Cointreau Teese now a gourmet delight, exclusively at Angelina, Paris Rivoli
The Dita - inspired by Cointreau Teese
The story begins in the heart of Paris.
The famous burlesque artist, Dita Von Teese and the Cointreau team have been perfecting the cocktail that bears her name: Cointreau Teese. Dita wanted the cocktail to be representative of her style, so she selected violet as the top note. The cocktail is perfected with apple and lemon juices, and finished with a slice of ginger on the edge of the glass, to add a touch of spice. How could Sébastien Bauer, the main pastry chef at Angelina, resist this delicious concoction?
Thus, came the birth of a bold idea, the creation of Cointreau Teese as a gourmet dessert. Cointreau, along with orange juice ginger, provide the warm tones of the cocktail. Chocolate croquant at the bottom of the glass is topped with fondant violet mascarpone cream, covered with peeled orange slices and caramelised with a sprinkle of sugar. The finishing touch- a mini baba au rhum, impregnated with Cointreau – takes its place next to two jellied cubes: one infused with violet and the other with orange and ginger.
Since this gourmet cocktail pays tribute to femininity, it goes without saying that it bears Dita’s name.
Dita, the cocktail-dessert is exclusive to the tea room. Why not also savour its second variation? A mini-macaroon that faithfully mirrors the flavours of the original. Cointreau Teese by Dita, now brings you delicious temptations you won't be able to resist!
