Cointreau shines in the Ultimate Spirits Challenge and Ultimate Cocktail Challenge

Cointreau entered both the Ultimate Spirits Challenge and Ultimate Cocktail Challenge, held by industry elite Paul Pacult, where they earned the highest honours amongst their competitors.

The 2010 Ultimate Spirits Challenge saw all distilled spirits categories competing. The evaluation of these spirits was based on blind tastings by the judges, who was comprised of the most credible authorities in the wine and spirits industry. The spirits were served under the most ideal conditions at the best serving temperatures and in the most suitable glassware. Without surprise, Cointreau® placed in the top five of seventy liqueurs, cited with the accolade of “Excellent, Highly Recommended” liqueur.

The 2010 Ultimate Cocktail Challenge saw spirits of all categories judged, based on their performance in cocktails. They were evaluated in terms of how they tasted against their competitors in a range of classic cocktails. This year Cointreau® received the highest rating, known as the Chairman’s Trophy, for the best orange liqueur in both the Cosmopolitan and Margarita cocktails! Not only can we say “it’s not a Margarita without Cointreau,”, but also that, “there’s no Cosmopolitan like a Cosmo with Cointreau”!
