Mimosa
There’s a particular London optimism that arrives with a September afternoon, and Cointreau is betting on exactly that feeling. The maison is partnering with SunSeekr, the sunshine-mapping app that went viral this summer, to launch a first-of-its-kind live guide to London’s sunniest terraces for a Spicy Margarita.
From 3 to 30 September, the interactive map follows the sun across the capital and updates throughout the day. An east-facing terrace in the morning, a rooftop at full noon, a riverside bench glowing at golden hour: wherever the warmth lands, the next margarita is never far.
It all shines a light on Cointreau Spicy, the maison’s first chilli-infused expression, which arrived in the UK this July. And it lands at the right moment: the Margarita continues to dominate cocktail culture, while its spicy cousin is having a breakout year.
The map also points the way to selected Sainsbury’s stores, for anyone who’d rather bring the sunshine home. A bottle of Cointreau Spicy, a few limes, and the rest takes care of itself.
“Cointreau Spicy is all about bringing warmth, vibrancy and sociability to those last outdoor moments, and partnering with SunSeekr felt like the perfect way to help people enjoy a Spicy Margarita in the sunshine.”
