  Cointreau is still being developed in France precisely in Angers, its birthplace, according to the traditional methods of distillation defined by Édouard Cointreau. The recipe is now kept by our Master Distiller Carole Quinton who is the guardian of Cointreau's rich savoir-faire.

Since there is no official EU legal definition, nor specific quality requirements that must be met to carry this name, there can be significant differences between one triple sec and another. Whereas distillate is a liquid produced from the vapor during a distillation process.

  If not opened and stored in a dark place at ambient temperature, the bottle might be kept for years. There is no expiration date thanks to the 40% alcohol contained in the liquid. Alcohol helps preserve.
