The Margarita is said to have been created during a party held in Acapulco, by Margarita Sames in 1948. She was a chic socialite woman, and the recipe spread to America thanks to her friends. Made with Cointreau L'Unique, Blanco Tequila, Fresh Lime Juice, it is shaken to perfection and served in a coupette glass with lime zest & salt rim for the finishing touch. A beginner-level strong cocktail, it is perfect for aperitif and best enjoyed summer. Discover the full range of margaritas recipes and find your perfect Cointreau cocktail.
