Pork filet mignon with honey and Cointreau

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • Pork filet mignon
  • 1tbsp honey
  • 5cl Cointreau
  • 75g fresh ginger
  • 1tsp five-spice powder
  • 1tbsp fresh green peppercorns
  • 1tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2tbsp oil
  • 2tbsp olive oil


  • Step 1

    Peel and grate the ginger (setting half to one side)

  • Step 2

    Add the salt, five-spice powder, soy sauce, oil, honey and Cointreau. Marinate the meat in this sauce for an hour

  • Step 3

    Seal the meat on all sides in a cooking pot. Cover and leave to simmer for 30 minutes (stir and add water if the sauce caramelises too quickly)

  • Step 4

    Once the meat is cooked, add the rest of the ginger and pepper. The sauce should be rich and smooth
