Blue cheese and pear crostini

Ingredients for 12 crostini:

  • 1/2 baguette
  • 2tbsp olive oil
  • 100g Gorgonzola or Roquefort
  • 1 peeled, deseeded pear cut into 12 slices
  • 12 walnuts

Method:

  • Step 1

    Pre-heat the grill

  • Step 2

    Cut the baguette into 12 thin, diagonal slices less than 1cm thick

  • Step 3

    Use a pastry brush to daub them with olive oil

  • Step 4

    Grill until golden brown on both sides

  • Step 5

    Leave to cool

  • Step 6

    Garnish each one with a slice of cheese, then a thin slice of pear

  • Step 1

    Add a walnut and serve
