Chocolate and pear tart


  • 1 puff pastry sheet
  • 3 pears
  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 1 egg
  • 20cl cream
  • 30g sugar
  • 30g ground almonds


  • Step 1

    Pre-heat the oven to 180°C and melt the chocolate over a bain-marie (or in the microwave)

  • Step 2

    Place the puff pastry in a cake tin and use a fork to prick the base a few times

  • Step 3

    Peel and deseed the pears, then cut them into strips

  • Step 4

    Pour the chocolate onto the tart base and then add the pear strips

  • Step 5

    Whip the egg with the cream, then add the ground almonds and sugar

  • Step 6

    Pour this mixture over the pears

  • Step 7

    Bake for 35 minutes
