Cod fritters

Cod fritters


  • 200g potatoes
  • 1/2 bunch of parsley
  • 150g shelled prawns
  • 200g cod fillet
  • 1 generous pinch Cayenne pepper
  • 1 egg
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • 50g flour
  • Salt


  • Step 1

    Peel the potatoes, then boil for 20 minutes in a saucepan of salted water

  • Step 2

    Mash them with a fork or a potato masher

  • Step 3

    Finely chop the parsley and mint

  • Step 4

    Blend the prawns and cod fillets in a food processor

  • Step 5

    Add the Cayenne pepper, parsley and mint and blend for 30 seconds

  • Step 6

    Incorporate the mashed potato and roll by hand into balls the size of a walnut

  • Step 7

    Pour as much oil as necessary into a large, thick-bottomed saucepan and heat to 180°C

  • Step 8

    Roll the balls in the flour and cook for 2-3 minutes
